As of July 2026, including the beanies and blankets produced from corporate volunteer makers, we've provided over 700,000 free handmade beanies and blankets to those in need. As of year-end of 2025, we had provided 688,396 free, lovingly handmade, premium quality chemo caps/beanies and NICU blankets to patients since 2007. I have no living family.
When I was diagnosed with Lymphoma and told I would have to undergo chemo, I was told to ask friends to knit hats for me.
I had no one who knew how to knit or crochet. I sent a request to this organization and they sent me several hats which got me through the chemo and lasted until my hair grew back to a decent length.
No one else helped me.
