Our dedicated Knots of Love family of volunteers, supporters, knitters and crocheters donate their time, money, and talents to create lovingly hand-knit and crochet caps for unknown friends going through chemo. Every week, as we have done for the past 19 years, we make, process, and ship free handmade chemo caps / beanies and NICUĀ blankets (we call them free gifts of love) to our network across the USA. Through the dedicated efforts of our family, we are able to gift hospitals, infusion centers, doctors offices, and NICUs thousands of free hand-knit and crochet beanies and NICUĀ blankets each month.
To date, by the grace of God, we've provided over 700,000 free lovingly handmade gifts of love to those in need!
Without our family doing their amazing teamwork, none of this would be possible. Ā
Fun Fact: Most people know Knots of Love for chemo caps / chemo beanies, but in 2013 we started providing free handmade NICUĀ blankets, and now, many of our makers create NICUĀ blankets for tiny babies in neonatal intensive care incubators. See below for free patterns and kits for both caps and blankets.
(A special note to the Knots of Love family who may be reading this page...
