    Here at CMCC, we see so many women with advanced cancers and they typically are enduring harsh chemotherapies throughout the remainder of their lives. These caps are a reminder that someone is thinking of them, and sending them the symbolic love and warmth that they represent.

Knots of Love Ambassadors

New for 2010 is the Knots of Love Ambassador program. Knots of Love volunteers who want to become more involved with the promotional and marketing aspects of Knots of Love will become Ambassadors in their respective states. In order to qualify to become an Ambassador, you must currently make and donate caps to  Knots of Love and fully understand our goals and philosophy. The goals of the Ambassador program are:

  1. Identify additional sources of knitters/knotters. This can be done by contacting yarn stores, service organizations, high schools, scouting organizations, churches, coffee shops, senior citizens groups/retirement centers, veterans groups, etc.
  2. Set up shipping locations by contacting UPS stores and Mail Centers located within the Ambassador’s state.
  3. Increase awareness of Knots of Love within the Ambassador’s state through media contact.

The Ambassador program isn’t limited to one person.  I hope to have hundreds of Knots of Love Ambassadors all over the country!
